The Causeway Bridge is not the only new structure under construction to be seen as one approaches LBI.  Three new commercial buildings are in the works for Ship Bottom.  The Drifting Sands Motel, on the ocean front is undergoing major renovations.  The State Room, formerly known as The Quarter Deck Inn, is gone and new construction has begun on Hotel LBI.  This structure is expected to be the largest and tallest building on the island.  Twelve new condo units are being built on the circle between 8th & 9th streets.  Lots of good things are happening on LBI.
